Sponsor: Sezione ARI Pordenone
Date: Saturday, 29 April 2006
Time: 13:30 hrs local
Location: 41a Fiera Nazionale del Radioamatore e Hi-Fi
Viale Treviso 1
33170 Pordenone
Italy
Directions: By car: Highway A4 Torino-Trieste exit in Portogruaro (about 70 Km from Venezia-Mestre) and continue on the A28 Portogruaro-Pordenone (this is a free highway, you don't have to pay), exit in Pordenone (you should see an indication of the fair). Here you should turn right and see, on the left, the fair.
By train: from Venice take a train with destination Udine or Pordenone (there's one train every hour) and go down at Pordenone's railway station. When you are out of the station you should walk on the pedestrian platform at the right of the station's exit, go over a traffic light intersection, always walking besides the railway, you should go across a river (Noncello) and at the end of the street turn right under an underground pass, then you see the fair on the right.

The VE team includes: Andrea AI4CA/IK1PMR (VEs liaison and contact person), Claudia K2LEO, Vinicio N7CIO. Additional VEs wishing to join the team are welcome.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • We invite you to pre-register to the test session (it's simple and free, just fill in the online form reported below) to allow us to better organize the tests; walk-ins are allowed subject to space and time availability.
  • Make sure you have a U.S. mailing address; you must have use of a U.S. mailing address in order for your FCC paperwork to be processed. The FCC will not mail your license to a non-US address.
If you have difficulties on this point, email us and we'll help you.
  • You are required to bring a legal photo identification (i.e. identity card, driver's license or passport).
  • We need the original and a copy of any current FCC license or CSCE. We can't give you credit for elements you've previously completed unless you bring the CSCE.
  • The test fee for 2005 is US$ 14.00 (all class licenses). We will also accept the equivalent amount in Euro as a convenience to you (about 11 euro).
  • American citizens will need to have their social security number (SSN) or tax identification number (TIN) handy.
  • Retesting of failed elements the same day is not normally offered at our test sessions. We may make exceptions to this policy only if time permits (for all interested candidates) and if the VE team is unanimously determined to offer retesting after the standard session.
